The Department of State just released August 2020 Visa Bulletin today.
Most Employment-Based Categories, except India EB-2, will advance substantially.
For China:
- EB1 will jump nearly six months;
- EB2 will advance a little over two months;
- EB3 enjoys the biggest gain and will move forward by 8 months.
For India:
- EB1 will move forward by 9 months;
- EB2 is the sole exception, and doesn’t advance at all;
- EB3 will move forward by 4 months.
For the rest of the world, EB1 and EB2 will remain current, and EB3 will advance significantly, almost 1 year.

For family-sponsored categories, there’re no big surprises for the August Visa Bulletin. Every category follows an existing pattern and will advance slightly for next month.
