Visa Bulletin Predictions Made in December 2010:

In the December 2010 visa bulletin, the State Department's Visa Office (VO) offered new predictions on visa availability and cutoff date movement for the remainder of FY-2011. Below are the best-case scenarios for cut-off date movement each month:

Employment Second (EB-2): Predictions on cut-off date movement each month after 12/2010 Results
China: 0 - 2 weeks  
India: No movement  
Employment Third (EB-3):    
Worldwide: 3 - 6 weeks  
China: 1 - 3 weeks  
India: 0 - 2 weeks  
Mexico: No predictions at this time  
Philippines: 3 - 6 weeks  

In addition, DOS believes that for the coming months EB1 will likely remain current, and EB2 categories that are current as of December, 2010 will probably remain current as well.

Please keep in mind that these predictions are just estimates, and may fluctuate if visa demand pattern changes.

In the July 2010 visa bulletin, the Department of State Visa Office (VO) offered new predictions on visa availability and cutoff date movement. Below are the best-case scenarios for the remainder of FY-2010, which ends September 30, 2010:

For the first time, the Department of State Visa Office (VO) offered their predictions on future visa availability and cutoff date movement. Below are the best-case scenarios for the remainder of FY-2010 which VO projected in the January 2010 visa bulletin:

India: February through early March 2005
In case of visa rollover (Section 202(a)(5)):
China: October through December 2005

Employment Third (EB-3):
Worldwide: April through August 2005
China: June through September 2003
