What information is on the visa page?

Your nonimmigrant visa page contains important information about you and your visa. You need to make sure that your name, birth date and passport number are correct. If there is an error, or if you have questions regarding your visa, contact the embassy or consulate that issued your visa as soon as possible. Correct any error or mistake on the visa before your travel to a U.S. port of entry (POE).

  • Your full name
  • Your date of birth (DD MMM YYYY)
  • Your passport number
  • Your photo
  • Visa type and classification (e.g. R B1/B2)
  • When your visa was issued (DD MMM YYYY)
  • Where your visa was issued
  • Your visa's expiration date (DD MMM YYYY)
  • Whether your visa allows a single entry or multiple entries
  • Your visa number (the number in Red on the image above)
  • A control number
  • Annotation, such as school name for F visa
